Creating Connection
Through Arts and Movement

A student-led initiative using music, dance, drama, and sports
to support emotional well-being, inclusion, and
stronger communities.

Our Core Values

Connection

building genuine relationships between people through arts and movement.

Expression

providing diverse channels of expression for participants of all ages and backgrounds.

Inclusion

respecting each participant’s uniqueness and creating a barrier-free environment for involvement.

Respect

attending to individual needs and listening to every voice.

Community

promoting holistic community health and wellbeing in a sustainable manner.

Our Four Programs

Music for Well-being

Through activities such as music appreciation, group singing, songwriting, and intergenerational music sessions, this programme facilitates emotional expression, memory recall, stress relief, and social participation. It pays special attention to the psychological support needs of migrant children and older adults.

Dance for Inclusion

Using creative movement and dance, this programme enhances participants’ body awareness, confidence, and sense of participation. It primarily serves children with disabilities and individuals with special needs, advocating the inclusive idea that everyone can dance.

Drama for Expression

Through storytelling, role-playing, improvisation, and short performances, this programme encourages participants to explore their own emotions, develop empathy, improve communication skills, and strengthen self-identity. It is suitable for adolescent emotional education and community integration activities.

Sports for Connection

This programme designs inclusive sports and team cooperation games to strengthen participants’ resilience, sense of belonging, teamwork, and positive social interaction across different age groups.

Core Activities and Outputs
Mind & Motion regularly organises community themed workshops, school outreach events, intergenerational activity days, inclusive sports carnivals, and an annual Mind & Motion Arts and Movement Festival. Each activity includes participant feedback and simple wellbeing self-assessments to continuously improve content design. More importantly, all workshops are standardised into 90-minute executable plans and made available as open-source toolkits. These toolkits are freely downloadable by schools, community centres, and elderly care institutions, ensuring the replicability and long-term impact of the project.
Digital Platform
The project maintains an official website. The website features detailed programme introductions, workshop resources and teaching guides, participant stories and case studies, research summaries in the arts and health field, free toolkit downloads, and volunteer registration and event booking channels.
Long-term Vision
Mind & Motion aims to build a sustainable student practice network that enables young people passionate about music, dance, drama, and sports to use their talents in designing and delivering community health services. We hope that through the relay and innovation of successive students, arts and movement will become a regular force for public health, and that more young people will come to know themselves, influence others, and create tangible social value through service.
