About Us
Mind & Motion Initiative is a student-led public service project grounded in the arts and health philosophy. It draws on the academic background and research resources of Arts for Health, a well-known organisation based at Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. The Initiative integrates creative forms of expression, including music, dance, drama, and sport, into community health promotion and mental wellbeing support.
As a high school extension of the Arts for Health model, Mind & Motion not only focuses on individual emotional release and expression, but also emphasises the development of systematic and replicable workshop toolkits. These toolkits enable the positive effects of arts and movement to reach a wider range of groups, including children, adolescents, older adults, and people with special needs.
Our Mission
The mission of Mind & Motion is to build a bridge between arts, movement, and community health. We bring together students with expertise in music, dance, drama, and sports, and we use their long-term practical experience to design and implement community programmes centred on emotional expression, social connection, and inclusion. Unlike traditional volunteer clubs, every activity is led by students who possess deep professional backgrounds in their respective fields. Each workshop is eventually refined into an open-source toolkit that schools and community organisations can freely adopt.
